I don't remember when, where, and what inspired me to create my shop and shoot project. What I do remember is coming up with the idea haha. Not much history there for you sorry. I blame that on my poor memory which sometimes worries me.
Anyhow I met Heather DeShea at model mayhem in mid December. I introduced the s&s idea to her and she was cool about it. So here I am...ready to share with you what happened next.

So when we get here...
I pasted the 'no outfit over 20$' sign on the window and asked Heather to pose by the sign with her 20$ bill which is part of the blog banner.
Ok so we go inside...
What to get, what to get . . .
We look around and the first thing Heather GRABS is this...
No not that one, it looked nice though.

Exciting moment. The cool thing about taking pictures inside the thrift store was that no one who worked there cared about what we were doing. I like that (:

So we check out .
and look for shoes else where .
Heather wanted to go some place where they sell NEW shoes and I was like sure np though inside I was like no this so defies the whole purpose of the 'shop' part of the rules I've set.

We went to this one shoe store though they were closed like closed out of business. Thank God I thought. Sorry Heather haha.
We went to the next thrift store and guess what?
Yepp !
She found shoes !
They were perfect .
They made her happy .
They made me happy .

We were all set and ready to shoot now.

So we drove and drove. Me in my truck and Heather and her husband Chris in their truck following me. We pick up some ligas then cruz the area for the shoot location. I had no idea where and felt like wow I better come up with something fast. After we got the outfit we were like this has a doll look to it. I thought about that and remembered this purple house nearby!

To make a long story shorter I ...
knocked on the door and was greeted by the most sweetest couple. I asked them if we can shoot at their porch and they said yeah then invited us in for a cup of coffee with the most hospitable smile, one I've haven't seen in who knows how long.
Wow what a moment that was for me.
I swept and dusted some and was asked if I do lawns too haha.
He was joking.

NEXT
After we were done shooting we were invited inside and got the grand tour of this 1930s home. Their library room had the most Harry Potterish looking decor, loved it. And we were given some veggies from their garden afterwords. Wow what a place. What peoples . And wow what a fun shoot.
Our shop and shoot turned into shop, shoot, and chill.
Coffee was grand too
